Elena Sammon

Elena Sammon is a teacher, instructional coach, PLC coach, and educational consultant with more than 20 years of experience in public education. Currently serving as a Secondary ELA Academic Coaching Specialist with Austin ISD, she brings deep expertise in secondary literacy, curriculum development, coaching, and professional learning design to the campuses she supports.
Throughout her career, Elena has served as an instructional coach, secondary literacy specialist, PLC coach, and secondary humanities curriculum coordinator. She has led teachers through curriculum design, common assessment development, and collaborative inquiry — partnering with principals and coaches to create professional learning that is both rigorous and energizing.
Since joining Advanced Collaborative Solutions in 2022, Elena has expanded her reach as a PD consultant and coach of coaches, and is the co-creator of Cards for Coaching: PLC Edition. She believes instructional coaching is one of the most powerful levers for transforming teaching and learning — and that investing in educators is the most meaningful investment a school can make.
